Potassium Iodide should be in the first aid chest of every American, especially those near nuclear plants. It will save children's lives in the case of a nuclear accident or attack. The pills sold by survival sites are very expensive. I obtained a bottle of liquid potassium Iodide for $35 at my drugstore (special order) that contains enough doses for thousands of people. Ask for "Lugol's Solution". You don't need a prescription. In liquid form potassium iodide can be very toxic and must be HIGHLY DILUTED. Ordinary water in a liter bottle is fine.
