I was just going to ask you about your new profile photo and then saw you also have it here. Recycled windows with the frames are great for art. I love it - and I take it you have a thing for roosters? We have a habit in our family of inflicting a collection theme on everyone in our family, whether they want one or not. Everyone gives my son Roosters - its pretty funny. His wife has been given the theme of Gnomes.
Hi! I found this old window frame in the alley ready to go to the dump, so of course I saved it and brought it home. I had to get Mike to bring it up to the porch because we park out back by the alley. That frame just sat around for months because I could not think of what I wanted to stencil. And yes I collect roosters, I love the different colors on them.
My Grandpa was a fabulous artist and I watched him paint for hours. I remember the day he taught me to draw a tree, a cup of hot coffee,birds in flight. So I knew I wanted to paint a large tree and roosters and go form there. I had a very enjoyable day painting and stenciling this window, I felt my Grandpa was next to me. I am happy you like it , thanks.This is one of me hobbies and my gardening. I am trying to get back into stenciling I have 3 more old windows waiting.
