I honestly don't know how to overcome it.  Less traumas....  Wear motorcycle helmets, wear car seatbels, etc.  No drugs, alcohol.... sounds good to me.

Yes and traumatic brain injuries can cause mental illness as well as epilepsy.
The only way to overcome it is to do whatever you can to tangibly help others who go through what you have gone through and whoever else you can be of help to.
Raising awareness is impossible and raising awareness doesnt cure it. Stigma doesnt go away. The damage doesnt cease. Gossip is unstoppable. Unless raising awarenesd created a time machine, it rarely matters. Where it is helpful, awareness-wise, is knowing others experience it too and you can share common ground, create friendships and support groups. Without that, no point in raising awareness. Need to raze the ignorance and cause change. Awareness placates to the individual, rarely ends up results thereafter. People are busy and there is a certain joy people get in knowing about someone who has struggled with these things. They mark the things they've seen and heard and are unable to connect the dots.
People enjoy hiding their own faults by exalting the faults of others.
We need a savior. So many sufferings and ailments and sin and on and on it goes.
