Did drinking percoet during trimester affected my three year old son ?

Hello everyone, i have a question. When i was pregnant three years ago, at the age of 19 i had an ovarian cyst, it was so painfull and after going to three hospitals i finally had a diagnoses . However, it was a cmplete battle my son was 5 centimeters and the ovarian was 8. The doctora prescribed me percoet which i took for few days, to relieve my pain.  On the three day of taking these pills i had gone to another hospital because the pain wasnt going away. All of a sudden i started peeping blood when i was taking urine sample for exams and i had an ultrasound which detected that my son was there but the cyst rupture.  Now my son is going to be 3 and i am womdering if drinking these percoet could have a affected him. He is very hyperactive and lots of people say he may have adhd or add.  I say he is a normal two year old going throug the terrible twos . But as a mother im still concern and want some in put from others thank you. You can email me calderon.***@****

Good answer by Kirk8.  You may want to take a look at your sons sleep habits and what he eats.  These things can contribute to ADHD like symptoms.

Probably not.  Percoet is a combination of acetaminophen (considered safe during pregnancy) and oxycodone (safe during pregnancy if not abused).

You can rest easy with a clear concise.

Note- acetaminophen is the leading cause of liver damage.  The max dose is 4000 mg/day.  People with liver damage should only take 2000 mg/day or less.  However, this is not a concern in your case because your liver would filter the acetaminophen, not the developing fetuses.

I just included this because I always warn people of the dangers of acetaminophen.  So many people unintentionally harm themselves with it.
