Sexual Behavior in a 5 (almost 6 ) year old girl

My five year old daughter keeps asking kids at school to "pull down their pants and show her their butt". We have had the police involved, a forensic interview, CPS, and this is now incident #4 and she has been suspended. She is in counseling and doing well. I do not understand this because she does not SEE, HEAR, ANTHYING regarding sexual behavior. I am at my wits end and sorry to say, feel ashamed, embarrassed, mortified. She takes Ritalin 5mg 2x daily (started in Jan) for ADHD, has counseling 2x a week, and I cannot figure out what triggers this behavior. She attends Montessori school and has 17 days of kindergarten left. HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!1

Is she on an IEP plan or every provided behavioral intervention plan at school from a qualified LSSP before being dismissed?

Not unusual behavior at this age at all but the persistence of the behavior to such a degree that the child is dismissed from school is.

Have her behaviors decreased since being removed from the school environment? Does she exhibit these behaviors in other social settings outside of the school environment?  I do agree with MarkLakewood3367 to discuss this with the childs counseler and make sure the counselor, the pediatrician and CPS case worker if your cps case is still open is aware of the recent change in events. So sorry you are dealing with that.

The only one that is actually in a position of answering your question is your child's therapist.

Two things that I can think of.  The first is that this is not unusual behavior for this age.  However, it is unusual for it to continue this long.   I am guessing from my experience at elementary school that she saw or heard this somewhere and thought it was funny.   And, this is where the ADHD kicks in.  Kids with it do impulsive things without thinking.  Ritalin should take care of this.  However, she is on the lowest possible dose and it only lasts for 4 hours max.  And then it takes about another 30 min. to kick in after the next dose.  If this is happening on the playground at lunch time, that would explain a lot.
You might want to talk with her teachers and see if they notice her behavior changing or if it is now not as good as it once was (indicating, she might need a slightly higher dose).  And certainly, you want to talk to her doctor about this.  There are extended release versions of all the stim meds that could be very helpful.
I should also add that the doctors always start someone off on the lowest possible dose and wait for feedback before doing anything else.  If neither you nor the teachers indicated anything was wrong or not working (or if you didn't know what to look for), then the doctor would assume that every thing was fine.
And actually, as a retired elementary school principal, I am kind of surprised that the police, etc got involved.  But maybe times are different now.   Will she be at the same school next year?
