Hi i'am a concerned aunt my nephew is 14 and was diagnosed with ADD/ADHD in early childhood. Now at the age of 14 after months of being told his continued changes in bahaviour were all down to his first diagnoses as a young child ,we have been told he could have other disorders, such as ASPERGERS AUTISM AND FETAL ALCOHOL SYNDROME so i'am looking for advice from other parents or family members in a similar situation, who already have children diagnosed or are also waiting to get some answers from the professionals kindest regard a very confussed aunt.

look these things up.

landow kleffner syndrome

lennox gastro syndrome

see if they sound like anything he may be going threw. And have an EEG done to make sure his brain is ok.

the medicines they give these your child can case some bad side effects, and some cant be reversed.

If they want to put him on something ,I would stay away from adderall and concerta.my youngest son was on both of them ,at different times for about 1 1/2 years .and now has seizures.witch is a side effects and cant be reversed.and now taken even more medicines to try help his seizures sisnce 2006 and even had the VNS Surgery in June to try and help him.but know way is he on any medicines for his add or adhd.
