Low morning Cortisol again despite supplements and more

Since months I feel lightheaded and dizzy, have trouble thinking straight, especially in the morning. Felt partly depressed.

History:
Had the same last year - at that time an increase of my Synthroid from 50 to 75mg helped dissolve the symptoms within 10 days. At that time I also started monthly Acupuncture sessions and taking Adrenosen, Ashwaghanda, B5 and B6; using only Himalayan salt. My Saliva test turned out to have a 4.4 ng.mL in the morning. With very little stress in my life and ongoing supplements and monthly acupuncture, one should think that this paved the way to long lasting improvement. But in April the symptoms came back.

I put it on my Hypothyroidism, although my T3 and T4 are solid at the same range (see my thread about this in the Thyroid Community). T3 Reverse is fine too. No Hashis, Iron and Iodine in normal range.

This year I again cranked up the Synthroid to 90mg and when this did not help, asked my doctor to add Cytomel.
Took that until my heart started pumping like crazy. So I started looking into Adrenals again and - voila - the saliva test revealed 2.7 ng.mL in the morning. DHEA is 40.

I thought that I was doing everything to help the adrenals recover again, but obviously they do not.
Meanwhile I have switched from Adrenosen to A-Drenal, adding Thorne Physiotone  - wonder if I should go with something else.

Hope someone reads this who has experience in this field or has gone through the same.

Thanks

I don't have adrenals...  So I replace the hormones.

Tests would be cortisol both free and serum, ACTH, renin, aldosterone and renin, antibodies and sodium and potassium. AI is a salt wasting disease so you would have low sodium and potassium would be effected as well.

The diagnosis would be confirmed by a stimulation test.

Hello and thanks for posting.
Supplements are those common for adrenal support as listed above.
I remember last year starting to use and drink Himalayan salt when I recovered. Didn't do that for a while, will start again.
What tests are you referring to?

Thx

If adrenals are sick, they atrophy... if you replace, you suppress. You suppress, they atrophy. The adrenals enlarge with Cushing's.

I am not sure what the "supplements" are, but I am not a fan... I think they are a waste of money.  Adrenals just want salt, if you have low sodium you typically will have an adrenal issue.

Low cortisol in the morning can be deceptive. I had low morning readings but was high at night and I had Cushing's. You really need several sets of proper testing.
