Can cream be used instead of pills for treatment?
The adrenal treatment has been bothering my stomach. I take prednisone daily. Can my doctor prescribe me prednisone or hyrocortisone cream instead of taking the pills to control the adrenal insufficiency?
I am sorry that you have Addisons, but at least you got a diagnosis. That is a good thing. I am not sure about using the HC creme for full blown addisons. My research has just shown using it for adrenal failure.

I am sorry, but I would not think that you cannot take cream in place of a replacement dose.
Eat with your pills or take it with milk.
I use HC. It is very unusual to use pred as there are more side effects (weight gain and body damage by Cushing's).
