Take large doses of vitamin B5. High cortisol depletes B5. I started by taking 1000 mg daily. Now I am down to 500 mg. I also take ashwagandha, which has the effect of normalizing adrenal function. All natural and no side effects. I take them in the evening. Both are soothing.
I had Cushing's disease. I was high at night and low during the day. The only help you can really get is to find out if you really have Cushing's, find the source of the cortisol - them remove it so your rhythm goes back to normal. Adding cortisol is just fuel to the fire so to speak? Please find a good doctor for testing.
My tests show elevated cortisol at bedtime, low at lunch. Was just hoping to find something that might help.
