HC and hunger on hydrocortosine

Im taking .25 HC. A lot of my symptoms have subsided, however im eating like crazy and extremely hungry all the time.  I can eat, eat and eat and still be hungry.  My body is absorbing the food like its nothing.  Barely any bowel movements, just more eating, more fat.  Im going to be like veruca salt on willy wonka pretty soon and just roll away.

why am i so hungry all the time?????

Flush may be you are cushingoid... keep an eye on that... wired is not good.
The whole wired but tired is how I felt with cushing's. It may be ok for a while - but the steroids are then eating your body away...

Then change it. 2.5 should not be enough of a wean to hurt.

im doing 12.5  /  10 / 5

I cant tell if the extra 2.5 is helping or hindering .    Either way I still feel like i injected nuclear fall out.

Try and post back - I would try to take the least amount possible you need to feel ok and function. In my book taking the minimal amount you need is best but I come at this from having Cushing's and the last thing I ever want is to give myself the Cushing's back via the meds.

15. 10. 5 maybe?

I would take 15 so you get the boost in the morning that the body expects - then 5 then 2.5 - as the body expects less which may help with the hunger - but play around and see what happens.

I take the 5 at 230 because I get these weird attacks at 3 pm.   What do you see as a better solution?   10.  7.5.  5?

Why are not following a normal diurnal rhythm with the bulk in the morning? The body does not typically have an even amount in the morning and afternoon. If you look up the diurnal or circadian rhythm - it has cortisol coming to a peak in the morning. You are dosing so that you do not peak at all but stay even - that is a more cushingoid type of rhythm. Late day dosing will interfere with sleep for most even with HC. I do know a few people though that need a dose to sleep. That is not you though!

I'm doing 10.10.5.   Ni was doing 10.10.5.2.5.  But I wasn't sleeping.  The hunger is unraveling.  It's like an unquenchable hunger.  Meats and cheeses mainly,   Im gonna start growing a mouse tail soon if I keep eating cheese.

.25 or 25mg?
I went to a doc who shall not be named and he said HC dosing should be weight based (never heard that before). He said I need to double my current dose. I said if I do that, I would become very hungry, and gain weight. He said gaining weight and being hungry is healthy. So under those terms, that doc would say you are doing just dandy.

I am still overweight from my post-Cushing's days and the last thing I want is to gain more since I am trying to either lose or stay the same. I did not follow his advice - I did not want steroid induced Cushing's.

I go through hungry periods though - it gets crazy. I wonder if the meds are changed and we don't know...
