Yes!!!!! I have heard this about Rogaine. Be careful because indeed if you ever stop using it, your hair will fall right dang out! So, what vitamins do you take and do you take any other things? Those can add to hair loss believe it or not. Newly prescribed meds can have an affect on our hair unfortunately. Also, stress can as well. Scratching your scalp? And if you are anemic at all. When is the last time you had a full physical, by the way?
How are things going with this? Are you still seeing hair regrowth?
There's a study and some chatter about Rosemary Oil being a natural solution. It works similar to Rogaine but is natural and does not have the same side effects Rogaine has on some people. You must diffuse the oil and there are a lot of suggestions with what to diffuse it with. Almond, jojoba, castor oil appear to be the most common.
For the past 6 months I have been using rosemary diffused with almond with particular attention to the front of my head. I feel like it might have worked a little. My hair is still thin all over, but its possible the rosemary oil may have stopped things from getting worse. I had an almost complete bald spot people used to stare at when talking to me and it looks better. The oil also left my long hair feeling very silky and smooth in general.
I've had my thyroid and iron checked so overall, I think my hair thinning has been due to a hormonal change. You definitely want to make sure your vitamin intake/nutrition is good. I did not find biotin useful, but see if vitamin D, selenium and zinc do anything for you. Have your levels checked by a doc if possible.
