I have noticed a dent in my left wrist that wasn't there the other week. I'm really worried now. My arms and hands feel weak and heavy, my hands keep curling up, I feel stiff all over, especially in my fingers. I'm getting twitches.
I'm so scared. I'm crying all the time. I really feel as though i'm slowly getting weaker. I'm scared that my wrist and other parts of my body are just going to start wasting away as the days go by.
I'm not eating because i'm so worried.
My only option is to go back to the doctors. But i'm scared of being sent for tests incase they find something. I couldn't cope with being told i have ALS. I'm not a strong person. I have history of anxiety.
I just don't know what to do. I'm trying to hold myself together for my familys sake, but i can't.
I believe it effects everyone differently, I have heard and injury can trigger symptoms (like getting hit with a baseball). but like I said earlier there is so many other things it could be, you said your b12 was low thats def something to look into.
I went for a walk today and noticed that my right foot felt weird. It felt loose like a floppy feeling. Now i'm really worried. I'm starting to think i'm having early symptoms of foot drop.
Does foot drop happen suddenly in ALS, like one day you're walking along and you just notice it. Or do you have slight symptoms where you can still walk and stuff but you just feel something isn't right like stiffness or a loose feeling in your foot.
I had a blood test about 2 months ago and it came back that my b12 levels were low.
The only medication i take is fluoxetine.
Niko, relax my man, ALS is relatively rare, especially in someone our age. There is so many other things it could be. Are you taking any other medications? It sounds an awful lot like a b12 defeciency to me or possibly low testosterone.
but when I was on Mirtazapine I had the same problems, you know something else bud, you could need a mild stimulant to get you going. just relax, everything is going to be ok.
