Petey is going bald!

Petey does not have mites or fleas but he has lost a brother in the past few months.  He now will only eat dry food, he use to eat wet food with his brother. He's licking all his rear end fur off.  Looks like he has tights on! I can't get omega 3 into him, he won't even eat sardines!  Can't give him a bath either!  i don't know how to help him!  Please help me!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Petey must be saddened by the loss of his brother.  Stress from loss can cause behavioral barbarism, or other compulsive behaviors.

Please ask your vet if Amitriptyline, Prozac, or other behavioural medication might be effective for his compulsive behavior. Amitriptyline can be give topical as a transdermal medication placed on the ear skin.  This medication can be made into a transdermal by a compounding pharmacy.
