Hi Tracy...I'm sorry about your little guy. I have a small poodle that is now a "Hospice Patient", also. Just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking about you...I know it's tough going...Good luck to you both.....Karla
Thank you. In answer to your question, Casey was neutured when he was 6 months old. That is what is so shocking to all of us. He has been an inside dog all his life, and the love of everyone's life.
The doctor says that his prostate is almost completley closed due to the large tumor.
We are all very sad indeed, and will miss him much. I keep hoping that some miracle will happen - guess I haven't given up - but, it does not look good.
Thank you again.
Tracy
I am so sorry for your sad news!
Was your dog neutered late in life? Neutered dog's usually don't get prostate cancer.
Anyhow this is really horrible. Acupuncture and herbs may be helpful. Tramadol and Fentanyl patches are really good analgesics.
Just give him what ever he desires to eat if it definitely is terminal. When he starts refusing to eat it will be time.
