Can you diagnos lymphoma in a dog without a blood test or a biopsy?

Thank you for that answer. The vet we went to see felt our dog's neck and leg and told us that our dog has lymphoma. There were no blood tests and no biopsy. I thought that was kind of strange. He also told our 2 kids, 12 yrs. old and 9 yrs. old, that their dog had cancer. I think I will have a second opinion done. Thank you so much for the reply back.

No, but if a pet has all the symptoms, such as enlargement of all the lymph nodes in an elderly patient  there is a chance that the patient may have lymphoma.  A veterinarian would than do a fine needle aspirate (needle biopsy), or excisional biopsy, and bloodwork to be definitive.
