don't own a pet if you can't afford the care, it is no different then having a child. If it means surrendering the animal to a foster home to take care her and get her to a family that can afford to care for her then so be it. But it is pure cruelty to attempt to care for an injured kitten because you can't afford to take her to the vet.
It is actually against the law not to get the kitten assistance and you could be charged with animal neglect and abuse. I had a similar issue but we didn't know what happened to the kitten only that its nose was bleeding and it wouldn't move, it could barely hold its head up, etc. We took him to the vet and his skull was fractured and his brain was swollen he had an enormous lump on his head and even though I didn't wait to get him assistance I was still threatened with animal abuse/neglect charges. Sad to say he died shortly there after.
Go online or go to a vet's office and apply for CareCredit. CareCredit is an interest free or very low interest credit card that can only be used for medical, dental, or veterinary care. If you are not eligible than you should try to scrap to some money together somehow and take the kitten to the vet.
There may still be some hope since she is still alive and seems to show a bit of improvement. She will need steroid therapy to try to reduce the inflammation in her brain. She will also need a variety of other medications, diagnostics, and other therapies. If you are unable to do any of this than perhaps it would be best to release her to a no kill shelter where she will receive necessary veterinary treatment and will have a chance to be adopted by someone who can afford veterinary care.
wow, how would you feel if your head was smashed in a door and no one got you help. am sorry but its just wrong, plz get her some help, your right the damage may already be done, but who knows what shes going throught, she could have a really bad headack and your not helping her, dont mean to sound ugly but why you get a baby if you cant take care of her. if it was your daughter would you find the money? take her to a vet that will let you make payments, there is someone out there that will help you , have you tried , make calls . i could never watch one of my pets pull their self around . how can you . plz get her help and than never get another pet if you dont have the money to give it a good life.Barbara
