Almost as soon as I'd got your reply my puppies eyess seemed to be looking better!. I think I've been lucky this time and It must have been a simple eye problem. I bathed and washed them 3 to four times a day in a diluted, cooled boiled water with one tea spoon of salt disolved in it. Then dried them with sterile cotton pads. They do not look boodshot anymore and I haven't noticed any abnormal discharge. I am however keeping a close eye on them, especially bearing in mind the advice you gave, which I am greatful for. She seems quite well in herself so I think I will stop worring for the time being. Once again,Thank you.
The condition is likely to be an upper respiratory
infection with conjunctivitis but a trip to the vet is a good idea
for a puppy regardless.
Distemper is possible but unlikely so a good exam is warranted.
