Help I think my sister is on the verge of developing an eating disorder

My sister is 15, 5 foot 8.5 inches tall and 155 lbs. She thinks she is fat and will not listen to anyone who tells her she isnt. There is a family history with eating disorders and I dont want her to be affected by one of these diseases. What can I do?

Hi!
It's always hard for a person to admit that they might have a problem with an eating disorder. She may not have one, but it's good that you are trying to help and watch her. The best advice I can give you is to really pay attention to her eating habits and make sure she knows you are there to listen. If you think she has a serious problem then tell your parents and they can arrange for her to see a specialist. Eating disorders are very dangerous when untreated, so make sure you know for sure that your sister is healthy and happy with who she is. Also, it's not uncommon for 15 year old girls to go through this. It may just be a phase as well.
