what's really going on

I have been suffering for about 7 years now. I was diagnosed with a herniated degenerated lower lumar. I have several injections in the lower lumbar. This gave some relief however I am experiencing a great deal of burning accross the entire upper back and the feeling of pins and needless sticking me in the back of my head. This has been occuring for about a year now. I just recently had another MRI; there was practically no change in the reading from the first MRI and no one seem to be able to explain the symtoms I am having. in the meantime the pain is increasing. Please advise....

Yes, I actually had one about 10 days the results read as followes:

There is a mild straighten of normal cervical lordosis ith anatomic alignment of the vertabrae. Anterior marginal osteophytes arising from the vertral endplatesof C4 through C7 associated with degenerative changes. Small schmori nodes involving the interior vertebral endplates of
C2 and C3 and C5 and C6,

the impressions read as follows:Mild cervival spondylitic changes ans mild degenerative disease as described above. C5/C6 right lateral disc protrusion narrowing right inferor
nueroforamen.

You see the problem is I do not have a clear explination of what this means. Any light that can be shed here would be  GREATLY APPRECIATED!
