PUS after Revision TKR

God Bless

My mother having rheumatoid arthritis for 10 years. By going for TKR one year back she looks fine for 6 months, then severe pain on the operated left knee, checked and found PUS. Gone through a Revision TKR, done through 2 stages removing PUS and filled with cements and then after 2 months operated again with the new implant.

Again PUS coming out from the operated knee, infection there.

Need ur advice and help on this.

Yes, we shown to the another doctor as per him, the infection cannot be remove through the medicines and need a re operation with antibiotic cement filings, to remove the PUS and to keep it for another 4 to 6 months and in stage II go for the re fix of the knee or can go for the fusion.

I sounds like your mother has an infection in her knee.  Has she seen another doctor regarding the problems she is having?
