My mother is 58 and for the past two years has been suffering from chronic muscle pain in her arms and has now spread to her her legs, neck, feet and generally all over. The doctors she has seen say it is to do with her bones and conditions such as arthritis and osteoporosis have been suggested but she is adement that it is her muscles that are the problem.
She has likened the pain to chronic arthritis (but in her muscles), and also extremely servere cramp. Movement has become a massive issue, when it is common that she'd be unable to lift her arm more than six inches. She suffers from bouts of dizziness and is short of breath regularly along with this.
She is currently being treated as if the condition is to do with thiroid, has previously been diagnosed with irregular heart beat and was given a 'cortozone ?' injection whilst on a family holiday in september for her arm pain which is now starting to wear off.
Any ideas on what the actual condition may be?
Thanks for your time.
