Saw my rhuemmy.

My Bone Density was real low, I was Dx'd with Osteoperosis. Im only 21 and a male.
The reason for this was malnutrition because of IBD. I am on a few suppliments now.

Will increasing Bone Density increase my weight loss? I need to put on weight and curious if helping my none denisty will put back on weight.

Well, I have started a diet with my nutritionist. The shakes are called InFlammX.

I get the calories i hope but it is easily absorped supposedly. I do hope increasing my bone density will help increase the weight atleast back to a semi-normal BMI.

I don't know for certain, but rational thinking indicates that pourus bones weigh less then solid bones, so in a sense, increasing density may increase weight.
Are you, or has your doctor suggested drinking something like Ensure to help increase your caloric intake? Gaining weight in bone density isn't going to help with malnutrition issues to my knowledge.
