Thank you. On the worst days the Ace (crepe) bandage does help. Sadly, my doc does not seem to think more physical therapy is in order.
However, I belatedly realized that I had stopped a daily dose of 2 T dried tart Montmorency cherries (Trader Joe's carries them) just before the tendonitis onslaught. So -- back to the cherries! After a week of my 2T three times a day, the tendonitis flares up less so I'm now trying to cut back to the old once a day regimen. (It's a lot of sugar which is why I cut them out in the first place. Luckily, I'm not a diabetes candidate.)
Treatment of active tendonitis involves limiting the movement around the joint to provide rest to the tendon, while anti-inflammatory medications/ measures may be used occasionally. You could try using a crepe bandage that would help decrease the mobility slightly. Regular physiotherapy is something that may be beneficial as well.
Hope this is helpful.
Take care!
