could this be RA

About 6 months ago I started having pains in the joint on the inside of my right wrist after a week or so the pain moved up to my thumb and down my forearm. About a month later it started on my left wrist as well. The pain never really goes away but at times it's a burning shooting pain that is almost unbearable! I have trouble doing simple things like opening jars or just lifting my grandson and the fact that it's both wrists just makes everyday tasks difficult. When it first began I went to the ER thinking that I had broken my wrist but as soon as I told the dr my symtoms he wouldn't even talk to me just told me to take ibuprophen for the pain and see my dr which was really frustrating. I have an appt set up for next week but I'm just trying to get an idea of what I'm looking at!

Great advice from Strype!  A trip to have the doctor look at it will not hurt a thing and will give you peace of mind.

I have this happen every so often. My guess is carpeltunnel. Is it a piercing pain localized to the wrist and then it radiates over a period of days into the arm and hand?

If so go to walmart and get a hand brace. The ligament that runs into your hand is swollen and rubbing the inside of a bone tunnel. You need to stop the movement in it and it may get better. I've had it happen from typing and working on cars too much.

Now if you have other joints involved I'd say go talk to a doctor.

Just my 2 cents though. Hope it gets better for ya!
