back pain

Hi, I was diagnosed with Arthritis, Osteoporosis & a curvature to my lower back. My job is a cleaner which is heavy work, bending, lifting etc. Should I stop this work because of the diagnosis? Thank you.

Hello!

You should stop heavy work as it has taken a toll on your body doing these continuously over a period of time.

Lifting of weights can be very harmful for your spine and you should go for a latest MRI to know the extent of damage on your spine to take all conservative methods to stop any more damage.  If required consider surgical options.

For Osteoporosis you should start taking calcium supplements and dietary modifications should be considered. Discuss with a specialist.

Visit an Orthopedician and go for complete proper diagnosis for treatment.

Stop your work as a cleaner and consider other options for work.

Take care!
