Hello!

Welcome to the forum!

Acute pain is for short term and this may be due to an injury or fall which is the commonest reason for pain in the whole of your hand.

If you had a spine problem previously you can have these nerve problems within your hands.

The other reason is tendon, muscle of nerve problem locally in your hand.

We advise you to take pain killers intermittently and rest.
If it does not decrease you are advised for an X-ray and MRI and visit an Orthopedician for detailed examination. If required you would be consulted with a neurologist.

Take care and keep us posted. Your age and no of days of the problem and detailed history would have helped us to advice you better.
