sensitive to cold air conditioner

I am  43 old female acutely sensitive to cold air conditioner. The effects are immediate and the colder the air the worse things are. This is followed by a thumping headache and painful soreness in the eyes and nostrils. Further exposure can result in heavy nasal congestion and pain spreading all around my eyes, jaws , teeth, And headache. The problem started  after my open heart surgery for an aorotic valve replacement caused by JRA, and I am on coumadin therapy for life time.  With my primary Dr. we did a lot of  kind lab tests included TSH, ANA and they all come normal.  I am a nurse working in the hospital. I wear a lots of clothing . If a go to the grocery store , I run along the aisles becuase I don't want to get sick . I stopped going to restaurants. Can you offer any help as to what it might be, what has caused it and what can be done? I so desperate, please help. Thank you

You wouldn't believe how many test I have been through this past year. Including an RA specialist. She told me I didn' have any form of arthritis.Which is not true I was diagnosed with degenerative arthritis of the lower back about 20 years ago using an MRI. You can't tell me I dont have arthritis. Thanks for the suggestion I appreciate the comment racha64.

This may seem like an obvious question, but, have you spoken with a rheumetologist  at the hospital?

I have jackets in the trunk of my car. We went to Las Vegas and I bought a sweatshir. Went to Arizona when the temperatures were in the 100 range.Took my sweaters and denim jeans, looked like a fool with people all around me in their shorts and sleeveless tops.  I run through the frozen food section in grocery stores because I'm so cold. If I have to take my time I take a Jacket.I used to perspire so much that I would run down my head and face . Now I don"t. Ive been tested for many things tried herbal remidies. Checked for thyroid problems (that is supposed to make you feel cold) My family cant handle being around me because I keep the temperature in the den at 80 degrees. But Dr.'s don't know why. Please let me know If you find a solution. I'm very tired of blankets, jackets , and warm ups.  cat33
