Wiping

Qestion about bathroom frequency and results.  I have increased my fiber intake and have been going at least twice in the morning within an hour of each.  The consistancy is between really soft to firm but still soft and not hard.  Nervous and making sure I am clean (because sometimes the dried feces causes hair to stick and
fuzz to collect), I wipe around 4 times, dabbing most of the time.  I also execise every other day and sweat alot.  What I'd like to know is wiping too much something to avoid?  I feel no lumps, bumps, or kernels around my anus when I wipe.  I don't feel pain or discomfort when I go, and none when I sit down.  I get itchy now and then from the top of the crack, around the anus and towards the scrotum.  I have pulled balled up material from the hair but don't
know if I get it all.  My question is if I am going to the bathroom twice a day, and wipe thoroughly, and have moisture accumulate from exercise, can this cause irritation?  And, can wiping too much to
make sure I'm clean (especially when I press on the anus, it leaves a pinkish (not bright red).  If it is bright red I'd know definitely and would not be uncertain if it is or is not bright red.  First wipe, I see nothing, no blood in stool, in toilet, or on paper (as far as I can tell).  Second wipe, not much difference.  By forth, to make sure it isn't bright red, I get a faint pinkish color (very little where I have to look to see anything) as if pressing on an abrassion inside the mouth.

HI and thanks for using the forum.

If you wipe and the paper is clean, then the area is clean.  Wiping excessively or vigorously will cause irritation.  As long as you are showering daily and practicing good hygiene (such as showering after you work out) then you should be fine.   Some people prefer using wet wipes or towelettes after bowel movements.  You might want to try this if you feel you are not clean with toilet paper (you can usually find these in the toilet paper aisle)  Hope this helps.
