What products are good for dry eyes?

Hi,

The older I get, the dryer my eyes seem to get.  Are there good over-the-counter eye drops that will help with dry eyes?  I know there are "get-the-red-out" products, but I need something that can help relieve the dryness.

My doctor gave me Systane for dry eyes. It works really good, I am not sure how often is safe to use this and maybe the pharmacist can answer this,, I also use Clear eyes(OTC).. Hope they can comment on this soon,,,   I dont like to use anything for too long in my eyes... just dont trust meds anymore,,

There are a lot of different choices. Refresh Dry Eye Therapy is a good product and it comes in unit dose packages so you can bring them with you. There are also homeopathic products called Similasan. They have a dry eye relief product. If you go to www.drugstore.com and type "dry eyes" in the search engine a minimum of 55 products will come up.
