My daughter's gait is all that is affected.  She is very unbalanced when walking but can stand perfectly still, bend over, and look up without getting unbalanced.  She is not dizzy at all and has no pain.  She has been to an ENT and had a VNG test to which we will find out results on Thursday as to if it is inner ear.  Then we see neurology.  She had been to a camp two days before this happened.  Could Lyme Disease be a factor?  Has this happened to anyone else.  She is 13 and needs to hold onto things to move and is in a wheelchair for school.  She was admitted to the hospital when this happened and they felt it was ataxia, however she doesn't seem to have all of the symptoms, like slurred speech, etc.
