Cervial disk/surgery scheduled but having severe nausea

Basically I have had life long problems with my lower back (5 surgeries to date) but none with upper back.  I'm scheduled for c-5-6, c-6-7 with a neurosurgeon this coming Thursday (18 June 09) because of severe stenosis at those two levels and mass effect on my spine.  Over the past week the pain across my shoulder/down has steadly increased to a point that all the pain medicine I take isn't helping much.  My left arm/hand now steadily jerk (even while typing this); my legs feel a bit more numb than usual (I have recidual numbness from years of lower back issues/surgeries).  I take the following for pain:

Elavil 50 mg/3 per day
Percoset 5 mg/6 per day
Methadone 10 mg/2 per day
Baclofen 10 mg/3 per day

Was wondering if cervical disk problems can cause nausea?  I've been very nauseated and it seem to increase in tandem with the increase in pain and numbness.  Since all of my previous surgeries were lumbar, I don't know if probelms in the cervical disk area could cause this nausea I'm having.  Unfortunately, my neurosurgeon is out of the local area (TDY to any military personnel who might be reading this) until the day before my surgery. I really need to know if this is something I should report to the Dept of Neurosurgery tomorrow (this is a military hospital) or should I just go ahead and go to their ER.  Thanks so much for considering my problem, any help would be greatly appreciated.

The meds might also be making you nauseous.  Also, sometimes lots of pain gives me nausea too...

Sorry you are feeling bad. I wish you tons of luck tomorrow with your surgery.

I have similar issues with c5-c6, c6-c7, c7-t1.  I get nauseaus when the other symptoms are at their worst.  Typically I have numbness in my left shoudler down into my fingers and left leg, headaches and mild lightheadedness.  When the symtpoms get worse (from overexerting at work, or not sleping and thrashing around all night), I get the stiff neck and all the numbness turns to a burning sensation, headahces, lightheadness and nausea.  The only thing that helps is to lay flat on my back and rest.  I don't think mausea is a "typical symptom" but is happens.
