Chiropractor told me I have scoliosis plus Im having back pain?

Ok , so a year ago. I was getting dressed and my sister noticed this lump.on my back next to the spine. The next day I went to the urgent care and workers comp paid for it because I started feeling pain when I was working this lady fell over on me. After the xray and exam I was told I had a back sprain and it'll go away..however it never went away so I'm thinking its.not a sprain. My case closed for workers comp and I saw another Dr he said a pulled muscle, another said a fatty tumor and I went to the chiropractor two months ago and he did an xray on my upper back. He said the lump didn't show.anything but he.tells me I have mild scoliosis in my upper back that may or may not need treatment. I've been dealing with aching legs, feeling unbalanced, back feels twisted, and pain. The lump.get big and smaller. Now I'm having to feel like I'm about to urinate on myself. I'm seeing another Dr and hopefully I'll get a referral to whatever the back Dr is called and get an MRI. The lump.is located on top of my spine and it hurts a lot. But it comes and go.

An x-ray would not show a fatty tumor, but it would show up on MRI or CT. So would a disc bulge. Perhaps your doctor has decided it is a fatty tumor based on ruling out spine disease with an x-ray?

Personally, I'd want to have an MRI to confirm the Dx, but if you trust your doctor, then you must have the surgery to decompress the nerve before permanent damage occurs.

Best wishes.

Well my Dr says its just a fatty tumor and maybe its pressing on nerves so to get it removed right away. He says a spine Dr isn't necessary. All I've had was an xray and that doesn't even show the lipoma just a 9 degree curve.

Some of the symptoms you report are consistent with disease of the lumbar-sacral spine, although spinal stenosis anywhere along the spine can cause balance problems and pain.

Make sure a proper spine physician (not a chirpractor) examines your entire spine. Mention the aching legs and feeling of urinary urgency to your doc.
