Collided with a Car while on my Bike, now my shoulder is killing me. HELP!

Hello all
Last night while on my bike, A SUV pulled out in front of me, and my breaks went out on my bike. I basically t-boned him, with my head and shoulder. I immediately checked for bleeding on my head, dizziness or nausea, i had none of those things at the time. But my shoulder felt odd, i rotated it, there were small 'pops' as i moved it forwards, backwards and above my head, but I cold move it.

This happened about 16 hours ago, Since then, I have been avoiding using it, icing it as much as possible, (about 20 min on 40 min off) My shoulder is VERY stiff, and swollen. Mostly the front part where there is a little ping pong sized knot. it hurts really bad when I try to pick anything up with it, let alone move it backwards forwards or above my head.

As far as my head goes, I do have a headache, but nothing that I think I should worry about.

Here's the catch. I have NO health insurance. I have little to NO money (honestly I work over 40hrs a week as a waitress and every last penny goes to rent and student loans)  So it's obvious I need to be 'healthy' as a waitress, just to do the job.

I am unsure if I should go to a clinic, or keep on doing what I have been doing. I need some major advice. I can post photos if you'd like. Thanks in advanced!

I don't mean to be hard on you, but automobile insurance is no-fault.

You should not be embarrased about having gotten into an accident.

In any event, my vote is the emergency room. They have the equipment to process you and in a big hospital billings get lost. In a doctor's office, you can count on them being sent to a collection agency.

I felt as if it were my fault, my breaks went out on my bike and couldnt stop in enough time. I didnt feel as if there was a need to get his info, let alone call the cops.

I have made an appt to go to the doctors tomorrow.

Am I missing something?

There was an automobile accident. The SUV had insurance. Surely the police were called. Did you get the plate number?

If the police weren't called, you need to make a police report. If he left the scene it's called a hit-and-run.

All hospitals will treat irrespective of the need to pay.

I don't need a photot. You have to go to an ER for a film and diagnosis.  Now, not later.
