Could I have Fibromyalgia?

For years now i've had terrible neck, back, shoulder, lower back, pelvis, elbow and knee pain. I'm always stiff first thing in the morning but it gets better throughout the day particularly when i'm physically active, always tired but i think this may be linked to my not sleeping very well. i'm in constant pain! i'm only 20 and feel like an old lady, please help!

The only way to know if you have Fibromyaglia and not something else is to be examed by a rheumatologist.  They check for any other conditions that can be causing your pain and test for your tender points which are points on your body then when touched are very painful if you have Fibromyalgia.  If this is the case then your tiredness and problems sleeping could be due to Chronic Fatigue Syndrome which in most cases accompanies Fibromyalgaia.

Fibromyalgia is hard to diagnose.

Hypothyroid is more common and can create intense all body muscle pain and insomnia, tiredness, fatigue. Tests are free T3, free T4 and TSH. Most people with this condition go for years before getting a diagnosis. Its worth checking. Wish I was tested 20 years ago, it would have explained a lot!
