i am 21 and for 5 months i have had a disc protusion at the L5 L4 level this is central and both sides but particularly on the right side there has been significant compression upon the nerve roots of L4 bilaterally in the neuroforamical canal and on L5 bilaterally in the lateral recess the changes are most advanced on the right side this is what my mri report revealed in that 5 months i have been recieving chiro treatment on a weekly basis and messages occasionally in the first month of my injury i could hardly walk after that it got better but i am still unable to go back to work as a welder and the pain does not seem to be getting any better and is stopping me from my activitys so i went back to the specialist and he said i should have a {R}L4/5 Microdiscectomy&Rhizolysis he said the only risk is after the operation it will the pain would either be better or the same is there any other down side to it and if got it done how long would i have to wait to go back to physical work and activitysand will i have 100% mobility once recovered thank you for your time
