What do they normally do if anything?

I go to the Neurologist in late AUG.  Been diagnosed w/ Cervical DDD , and Disc Protrusion at c5-c6, Arthritis in my neck and abnormal lordosis.   Do they normally do anything with these symptoms or do the docs want to try PT first? Before being diagnosed I was sent to PT which made my matters worse. I will refuse PT this time. What is the next step that is "normally" done? Do they want to do surgery for cases such as this, or is there other things besides PT that can be tried?  BTW - have had this problem for years and was played off as growing pains, and it just keeps getting worse. Last year finally got an MRI and it showed problems. Had another MRI this year, and problems have worsened in about 18 months time...... Haven't had any accidents this is something that started when I was in grade school, that has progressed until I am now in pain every day. TY.

Had that done. It said everything was in normal range. Then there was a few other papers in which I cannot read at all. But the bottom line was.... Normal Range. So does that mean that they won't do anything because that showed that it was normal? My doc wanted it all done before I go to the Neurologist so I wouldn't have to go do that and then wait another month or 2 to get into that office.    I go see the Neuro. Aug 28th but that seems like a long time with no answers and I am driving myself nuts wondering what they may want to do...LOL.  I normally have pain for a day or 2 and then it will lessen and then I will be fine for sometime, however this time so far it has lasted over 2 weeks where I am always in some level of pain. I can just tell that it keeps getting worse as each year passes because of the length of time I am in pain and the pain is much worse.  I just know that PT isn't something that is going to help and just wanted to know where they will go from this point. If anyone out there has similar problems like mine and can tell me what your Neuro done...PLEASE write and tell me. TY richmill1 for your reply.
