I know this is old, but it might help someone. This is called Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction, or just TMJ. It happens when you grind your teeth or clench your jaw due to anxiety, stress, or probably adderall(which tends to make me clench all day) This is the joint that connects your jaw to your head. Long term grinding causes this joint/ disc associated to inflame or irritate the muscles around it. The pain can radiate into your ear and all the way down your neck. (Mine is excruciating and I initially thought it was a horrendous ear infection.) Hope this helps!
First of all, it sounds like your headache is coming from stiffness or joint dysfunction of the upper levels of your cervical spine. You should see a physical therapist trained in spinal manual therapy who can mobilize any "stuck" joints in this area, which can cause severe headaches, eye/jaw pain, numbness in the tongue, or other strange pains and feelings around the head. The click in the neck has probably stopped because a joint that was moving abnormally is now stuck. This can lead to gradually worsening headache and other symptoms. The joints just need to be unstuck.
Furthermore, I have to urge you away from using adderall recreationally. This is a controversial drug and carries huge side effects ranging from headaches, sleeplessness, depression, psychosis, and schizophrenia to stroke, heart attacks, and death. Please take care of yourself. Hope this helps.
