back pain

is it possible to damage your back from back labor and still have back pains from it years later

i had back labor from having babies and my back has been effected ever since

Hi there!

If you mean labour as in ‘hard physical work’; yes, repetitive stress/ strain may be associated with trauma especially in older age group or with a pre-existent degenerative condition. If you mean labour as in ‘child birth’; backache in pregnancy is usually due to postural issues and is unlikely to be associated with permanent damage, unless there has been a pre-existing degenerative condition which could have been worsened.
