l4 l5 disc bulge

In June of this year I hurt my back at work,,,I had a mri ,it showed a small bulge L4 L5 ,,,I the real bad pain went away in 2 or 3 weeks,,,I had therapy but still aches in the lower back,,i went back to the pain center they perscibed amrix wich made me to tired to funcion,,,so they suggested pressure point ijection,,wich i had 5 of them,,,3 weeks later,,,i sat up from a living room chair and sarted getting a apin so bad I went to the er,,coughing was even worse brought me to a pain in the left lower back i could not take,,,,two days later a bent over a litle went to my nees and couldnt get up,,like an over acting,actor in a b movie I climed up using the kitchen counter,then hung onto the walls till i free fell to my couch,,,too a rescue ride to the er they gave me 2 percs and sent me home,i went to  doctor,,he didnt even touch my back,he look at the june mri and said the bulge  is casing the pain,wanted me to go for disco(painfull) gram,,,,,,I did not go,,,then said he would do a fusion,,im walking around now I tilt to te right when i walk,still hurts,,esp end of the day,,,my gp said i might need sergury but waite a month os so to see how it is,,,,I have copd and cough alot was diagnosed 8 years ago,,,if i would have back sergury,I cant imagine the pain it would be when i cough,,thanks fr the replys in advance,,by the way im almost 50

It sounds like you have tried alot to help and surgery may be the best option, although I would recommend having another mri before going for it. I was told by my surgeon that if it has been a while since the initial mri it is best to get another one done to make sure nothing has changed/improved/worsened.

Post op surgery is not fun, but you are medicated well enough to get by, so don't worry too much about coughing. I really hope everything goes well for you!! x

I'm not sure what your question is?
Go get the surgery. The longer you wait, the more permanent damage and pain become.
