i was curious on how many cortizone/steriod injection shots you can have in a year.i currently have had 3,in the last 3 months and my doctor is triing for more. a friend told me 3 a year was the most you can have,which leaves me wondering,any info would be helpful. thanks........................kurt

It depends were you are getting the shots at. I receive Facet injections in my neck. I started out by getting them every 10-12 weeks, now I get them every 8 weeks. Sometimes if they there not working i would call and they would give me more injections. I have also received injections in my shoulder which they will not do very often. I think I only had that done 3 times this year.  What are you getting yours for?  I was in a car accident and I am still suffering from the whiplash. It has cased my neck to have paraspinal spasms that have caused me to have Toracollis and/or Dystonia in my neck. I also now have Cervical Facet Syndrome. I have also tried EMG Botox to see if that helps with the pain and headaches. Good Luck.

All I have ever been told is 3 a year so you better check in to in it could hurt your liver and thats would suck we go though anough pain
