Should I take a muscle relaxers

I fell at work a few months ago and was giving Davon 100mg for the pain. But lately I have been having a lot more pain that the Davon is not helping. Like today i am having sharp pains in my left shoulder area; to where it is hard to breath. I was wondering if I should be taking a muscle relaxers instead when this happens. I will be in Pt in a week, but for now i need something.

I would not be taking any other type of medication or the medication you currently have.  That medication was prescribed as you say "a couple of months ago"  Sharp pains with difficulty breathing should not be self diagnosed and treated with old medication.  Please go to the doctor and have him/her check it out as soon as possible, especially if you are having difficulty breathing, you should not put this off even if you are going into the hospital next week.

good luck
