THE BOOK OF NEGROS by Lawrence Hill

Has anyone else read this excellent book???
I believe its called a different title in the U.S. for some reason? If you look it up under that title at Chapters it will also give the alternate title...why is this done?
It was a wonderful book, I hated to get to the end.
Story of a young girl taken into slavery at 11/12 and her life story(fiction) and all her travels to a very old age.
Its a most meaningful journey that doesn't dwell on the horrors of slavery instead leaving much to the readers imagination.
His portrayal of her character is so real I caught myself forgetting she was only fictional.
Its so well written and that is what keeps your interest up even through what would be some dull lapses...

I wonder what his other books are like, I would now like to read them all because I enjoy his style of writing so much...
has anyone else read his books? I would like some opinions please.

I have read this book and was touched by it. I just finished reading an autobiography about Valentino Achak Deng, written by Dave Eggers. It is about the Lost Boys of Sudan.
