Please... Im scared...

I have myself convinced that I have a brain tumor. Im terrified. My app. with a neurologist isnt until the 18th and then I have to wait for an MRI...
Im loosing my mind. Im terrified.

My symptoms:
Head pressure ranging from mild to moderate through most of the day; Seems to be moderate towards the end of day or when I am in the car.

On and off headaches in the temple region and sinuses that can be sharp and range from mild to moderate; Never seem to be in the morning or when I wake up. They usually after I have been up for a few hours or after being at work and tends to be slightly sharper on the right side.

Tingling sensation in my head that kind of feels like when your foot falls asleep or the chills.

Nausea that is mild but, udually throughout the day.

Leg weakness in both legs that is mild.

*****Right pupil dialation; The right pupil dialates quite a bit when in indoor light. Also, my right eye lid seems to droop slightly (The drooping is something I have noticed for a few years) and the entire eye seems to be slightly higher up than the other.

Random upper back pain and tingling like pins and needles. Pain is usually on the lower right and pins and needles in on the lower left.

Also, for 2 days now my neck hurts. Its not stiff really. Its more of a pain at the base of my skull and at the end of my neck where the shoulders meet.

Now and then my chest hurts. Not in the actual breast but more in the bone that is in the middle.

I am 25 years old. I have 2 very small children...
Im terrified. I have had a NON contrast CT that 2 doctors have read but came back normal but, those can be wrong.

Im scared, Like really scared.

Hi, I've been suffering from the neck pain and the pressure in tha back, this all started with me being lightheaded for 3 weeks. I know how you feel. If it helps you are not alone and if you find some answers or I do first I would be glad to share them. Heve you ask to examinate your nose ( a tube that goes inside your nose)
Anyway, keep in touch

You don't have a brain tumor. Relax.

The pupil bigger than the other and slight eyelid droop can be a sign, but I'm not sure. Also the only way to see is to get an MRI WITH contrast. CT doesn't show anything.

I agree With Daniel, it could be just about anything.
Its amazing how we Humans tend to think the worst first and simple solutions last :)
Honestly, try not to sweat it to much. Wait til you see the Neurologist.
But that being said it never hurts to be informed and do a bit of reading so you know what questions to ask.

Can i ask...You talk about tingling sensations in your head. Is it just in one specific area or is it all over. I used to suffer from occipital neuralgia. My head was Tingling then got so bad it was like a million small needles sticking in my head. I couldnt even brush my hair !!! couldnt touch that part of my head.

it wasnt a tumor, it was easily fixed with a tablet.

Your pupil and drooping eye lid can be caused by migraines.... In fact migraines can be darned nasty things !!!!

As for the random back pain, neck pain, chest hurting all that could be caused by your stressing over whats going on. Stress does amazing things to our bodies as well!!!!

I hope your appointment with the neuro isnt far off.... Peace of mind is a wonderful thing :)

Anyone else have an opinion?

I have to wait to see the neurologist. My GP said insurance wont cover an MRI otherwise.

I had a CT Scan at the ER but, I thin they are wrong. Im not better and that scan was almost a month ago. The ER tells me its a migraine...

CT scans can miss things and my age means nothing!!!! I dont understand why CT scans are done for head issues. They expose patients to radiations and can miss a lot of things...

The pupil thing really freaks me out....

Dear TheLightYouBring2007,

Thank you for your message. There are multiple things that can explain your symptoms and not necessarily brain tumor.
Please see a doctor and let us know if you have any question.
