Abnormalties after biopsy

I had a core biopsy two weeks ago.  I was left with a lump the size of a lima bean at the site where they performed the biopsy and an inch long dimple above the lump.  Is this normal and will this go away?

Dear kendallia:  Without evaluation, it is not possible for us to determine the cause of the lump or whether the dimpling is expected.  Scar tissue can sometimes cause tissue distortion.  The best option is for you to contact your doctor.

It could be scar tissue has formed, causing the dimpling. If you're really concerned, ask your doctor to take a look at it.
