I am 40 and had my first screening mammogram. The results were Birad-0, need further information for a complete evaluation. The findings were a 2 cm. irregular equal density, focal asymetric density at the 12 o'clock position, middle depth in the right breast. My breasts are predominantly fatty. The letter I received said that I needed further eval. but that "Most such findings are benign". I am really anxious & I don't know what this all means? I am also average size, but very large breasted, 34G. On Tuesday, I developed a small red sore on the right breast. I've had similar sores on the left breast, which the doctor chalked up to the seams in my heavy duty bra. I have a lesser bra now, but the seam could have hit my breast on the sore spot. I've also had intermittent pain in the breast, neck, underarm, rib cage, arm, shoulder side & back, on the side (left breast) with normal findings. Just prior to the mamm., due to the pain, my doc did a CBE & all seemed normal and said pain was due to large breasts. I am wondering if I should be very worried about my Mamm. results, be even more concerned because of the sore, and if I could be having pain related to the "abnormal breast" on the normal side?
