Hi - I was wondering if they has happen to anyone else.  Went for a mammogram reseult were abnormal.  states there was a spot 1/3" inch on left breast behind nipple.  Went for Ultrasound, and they could not locate anything.   I have been scheduled for stereotatic guided core bioposy.  Does this sound like anything to worry about...i did not fell and lump.  I am overweight....Thanks I am freaking out...Jan

Just wanted to update information.  I went for biopsly appt today, and they could not located the spot on mammogram.  They then took and second mamogram, and it did not show any change from 1 took 2 years ago.  So no biopsy.  

I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else.

Dear janjan99, Different types of tests give different pieces of information.  An ultrasound is helpful in differentiating between solid and fluid filled (cystic) structures.  Something that is solid might not show up as well on the ultrasound so that test did not help to clarify the suspicious finding on the mammogram.  Further evaluation to clarify what the mammogram finding is through biopsy is not an unusual next step.
