HELLO,FOR OVER A YEAR MY GIRLFRIEND HAS HAD A LUMP ON HER BREAST BUT BECAUSE SHE HAS NO INSURANCE SHE HAS NOT GONE TO DOCTORS,WANT TO KNOW WHERE I CAN FIND HELP WITH PAYMENT FOR DOCTOR TO CHECK IT OUT...WHEN I TALK TO HER SHE SAYS EVERYONE WILL BE BETTER OFF WITHOUT HER,THIS MAKES ME SAD SINCE I HAVE NO MONEY MYSELF TO MAKE HER GO TO DOCTOR....PLEASE HELP WITH ANY INFORMATION....GF IS 51 THANK YOU      JEFF

There are organizations the dr's offices and cancer centers hook you up with that are wanting to help people from their area.  So please encourage her to see a DR.

I hope this is true in your area but here there are free Mammograms offered thru the local hospitals and the health department for uninsured or underinsured women. This is thru grants from the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Look around and I'm sure you'll be able to find some financial help for her.

Dear Jeff,  Without evaluation it is impossible to say what this lump is.  A breast lump should be evaluated.  Check with your local health agencies.  Depending on the community there is often a clinic available where a person can get evaluation of a problem at little or no charge.
