Forgive me

Father I ask for your forgivness. I have not been to service in 4 weeks. For I have sinned. Please forgive my sins and cleans my soul. Bring me back as I have strayed away.

Why have you not been going to church, may I ask?
Vance, I'm sure you know going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than going into a garage makes you a mechanic. It's your day to day relationship with God, talking with God. He's always there and hears you and cares. Never doubt that.

Hope everything's ok. We're always here if you need to talk. Even more, God is always there, loving you.

Read the prodigal son. (Luke 15: 11-32) I think it will give you comfort right now. Take care.

I have not gone because of me being sick one week, then kids sick and then I was at a basketball game. Not that I didn't want to go, just other things kept me away, but when I am not there for several weeks I feel like I am straying away. I know going to church does not make me this or that, but I get a feeling of security and just being right when I am there. And I miss the words spoken by my pastor to help guide me.

Everything is fine, just wanted to put out those words to the lord. And just added a confession since I have not been in church to ask for forgivness even though I still was asking each week when I was not in attendance.

Yeah, I understand. I feel yucky when I haven't gone to church for a couple of weeks. Sometimes I wish church was every day! I get such peace and feel so good when I'm there. :)
He is so good, though, isn't He? He's always calling us back. Thank God He doesn't give up on us!
