What is the origin of the different races?

In the eyes of God we are all created equil and Adam and Eve's children married each other and multiply according to Genesis. In the old testiment that is how they multiplied and spread throught the land, they married brothers, sisters, cousins (all in old testiment) I've heard that paradise and birth place of God's creation was somewhere in Africa!
God doesn`t wan`t one race above another( he is know respecter of men)

Ok...this is an interesting subject. The bible can be interpreted in many ways....however, from what I read, I didn't see a clear explanation of how people came to look different. There are lots of "..ites" I know that there were admonitions to not mingle & warnings about what would happen if people followed after the teachings of other nations by mingling in such ways. My understanding was that it wasn't because a race was "inferior"...but it was because of the "gods" they followed. If a man hooked up with a woman from another race who followed false gods, the chances of him falling away were higher.
I am open to further study as I find it fascinating that we have such variations. I think it is so neat as each color hue, tone etc. is beautiful. Times I wish I were darker and not so sun-burn prone with reddish tinges. However, this is what I got to live with short of dying myself regularly like hair color....lol!
I don't like it when the Bible is used to suggest superiority of one race over another. God wouldn't have created or allowed the variations if they were not good!!!! Most of us are mixed.
I wonder too where people came from...still wondering where the "wives" for Cain & Seth...came from????? Let's keep searching/asking....."ask, seek, knock"...does wonders!! However, the secret things belong to God & He chooses what He wants to be made known :-)))

Good Catch! You must have been looking in the Bible! Yes, it is Mormon and not from The King James. Awesome! The whole idea is to c what the bible has to say, if anything. Any other takers?

For behold, they had hardened their hearts against him, that they had become like unto a flint; wherefore, as they were white, and exceedingly fair and delightsome, that they might not be enticing unto my people the Lord God did cause a skin of blackness to come upon them. (2 Nephi 5:21)

"Behold, Thou hast driven me this day from the face of the ground; and from Thy face I shall be hidden, and I shall be a vagrant and a wanderer on the earth, and it will come about that whoever finds me will kill me." So the LORD said to him, "Therefore whoever kills Cain, vengeance will be taken on him sevenfold." And the LORD appointed a sign for Cain, lest anyone finding him should slay him. (Genesis 4:13-15)
3."And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brothers outside.... When Noah awoke from his wine, he knew what his youngest son had done to him. So he said, "Cursed be Canaan; A servant of servants He shall be to his brothers." He also said, "Blessed be the LORD, The God of Shem; And let Canaan be his servant. "May God enlarge Japheth, And let him dwell in the tents of Shem; And let Canaan be his servant." (Genesis 9:22-27)

And they said, "Come, let us build for ourselves a city, and a tower whose top will reach into heaven, and let us make for ourselves a name; lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth." And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built. And the LORD said, "Behold, they are one people, and they all have the same language. And this is what they began to do, and now nothing which they purpose to do will be impossible for them. "Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another's speech." So the LORD scattered them abroad from there over the face of the whole earth; and they stopped building the city. Therefore its name was called Babel, because there the LORD confused the language of the whole earth; and from there the LORD scattered them abroad over the face of the whole earth. These are the records of the generations of Shem. Shem was one hundred years old, and became the father of Arpachshad two years after the flood; (Genesis 11:1-10)

The Tower of Babel (Genesis 11:19), was when God had them speak their native language to confuse them from tryin to build a tower to the heaven (something to that effect). Of couse we know that God is the creator of all of mankind and said be fruitful and multiply and they all roamed and moved throughout the earth. All of mankind origins is found in throughout Genesis.
I think it as to do w/ The Tower of Babel. When man tried to build the tower to heaven and GOD struck them w/ all having to speak different languages so they set out in different directions into the world.

You know Teko, my dad has wondered this as well, for the life of me, I really can not find the answers, especially about the Aboriginals in Australia.
