A related discussion,
my daughter was started.
Such a palmar crease does not indicate that your son will display any developmental disorder. Most people who display such a crease are perfectly normal. So no, I would not suggest you keep your eye open for any particular trait or characteristic, but rather track his overall development in the major spheres (motor -gross and fine, cognitive, social, emotional). Each time he visits his pediatrician they will check for developmental progress.
Thank you very much for your response!
One more thing, yesterday we noticed that my son also have Simian line on both of his hands. Do we need to worry about that at all? In your opinion/ experience, have you seen any behavioral or personality characteristics that we should expect or aware of? Appreciate your response. Thanks!
I imagine that as your son develops during these early months you will witness more curiosity and settledness. His sensory processing abilities are steadily evolving. Babies arem't equipped at birth with the same skills in this area they will have later. There's no indication you have cause for worry.
Thanks for your response. I think that he is scared because of his consistent behaviour of crying after looking at certain things like a bright colored wall hanging and couple of pictures etc
It certainly sounds normal. What makes you think your son is scared?
